Located in the South West of England, Pickleson Paint Co. is run by Alex and Rachael, a couple who recently left London to create their first home. With a passion for colour and design, they use their home as a living canvas, sharing inspiration and behind-the-scenes glimpses through @picklesonhome, showing how thoughtful choices can transform a space.
Their master bedroom posed a tricky challenge: a narrow chimney breast made the bed too wide for the wall. The solution was a Mediterranean-inspired niche wall, crafted from EPS blocks and layered with adhesive and EasiFill, creating a plaster-like backdrop sturdy enough to display treasured objects collected over the years.
Drenched in Aegean Sage, a soothing green inspired by a cookbook inherited from Alex’s father, the space feels calm, sun-kissed, and inviting. Filthy Terracotta shutters, a restored granite table, and a collection of ceramics add texture and warmth.
To complement the room’s layered textures and earthy tones, they chose the Terracotta Large Rocco pendant. Rustic yet refined, its hand-finished surfaces and Satin Brass fixtures cast a soft, ambient glow that elevates the niche wall and brings the space together. More than just a light, the Rocco adds tactile beauty, understated sophistication, and a sense of calm elegance.
Inspired by Dorset landscapes and a love for local craftsmanship, the Rocco pendant embodies both thoughtful design and purposeful craftsmanship. It transforms the bedroom into a space that feels effortless and welcoming.
