Our story
Working from our studio on the south coast of England, our vision is to use natural materials to create lighting that is beautiful, environmentally responsible, and enhances the wellbeing
of those who use the spaces.
Artifact Lighting was established in 2011, fuelled by a passion for antique lighting and the creation of bespoke pieces. Our aim is to preserve the significance of Made In England, while blending contemporary designs with traditional influences.
Thoughtful design
Our commitment to responsible design and British manufacturing is reflected throughout our collection. Around 80% of our products are made by skilled artisans in the UK, and we source materials locally wherever possible to help reduce carbon emissions. We use recyclable packaging and strive to minimise plastic across our products.
We design for longevity, creating timeless pieces that feel at home through changing trends and seasons. We use high-quality materials and traditional techniques to enhance both the durability and aesthetic of our designs.
Coastal inspiration
Our work draws from the textures, patterns and colours of Dorset's coastal cliffs and landscapes. Handcrafted with care, we prioritise using non-toxic, natural and sustainable materials. Combining centuries-old knowledge with modern techniques.

For over 14 years, we’ve been creating lighting that transforms spaces - whether in homes, restaurants, shops, or offices. Guided by a passion for craftsmanship and natural materials, we design timeless pieces that bring warmth, light, and character to every interior.
